Weekend Updates

Mom left this morning, I was actually kind of sad to see her go. We had some good times! She arrived here Friday and we went to my favorite Italian restaurant, Maggiano's. I was so excited, I actually had my first Spanish conversation with someone! To make a long story shorter, every time I go to eat at Maggiano's there is the water lady (refills water) and she only speaks Spanish. I found out she only speaks Spanish because one night when Vanessa and I were there, she spoke Spanish to Vanessa. Anyway, she refilled my glass and I said "por favor senora" which led to a 10 min conversation. I was so excited that afterwords I called Vanessa to tell her about my Spanish encounter.

After dinner we went to Blockbuster and rented "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" (wasn't that good) and Season Six: Part Two of "Sex and the City." We were up til about 3 AM watching "Sex and the City." I LOVE THAT SHOW. It is sooooo good. It makes me feel good about single.

Saturday we went to the art museum to see a contemporary glass art show. Sunday we had lunch with Mariah, her husband, and her sister. We went to the mall, and I bought a couple things--actually my mom bought me a couple of things :)

Sunday we went out to dinner at Top of the Hill with Lindsey. The waiters were SO hot, I'm going to apply for a job there!

Yesterday I babysat for the kids. The "kids" consisting of Katie (8), Claire (6), Maggie (4), and Conner (2). Vanessa usually babysits for them, but she's in Charlotte, so she gave their mom my number. I babysat them two weeks ago and read them my story, "Chocolate Cows." The first thing Conner said to me when I walked into the door was "ber er da pows?" which loosely translates into "where are your cows?" I thought it was soo cute. The girls even asked me if I had anymore stories to for them. I've actually sent my story off to eleven publishers so far...it's now time to wait for the rejection letters!

Talked on the phone to the hot guy in my calculus class today for about 30 minutes...too bad it was ONLY about math homework. Again, it's time for him to break up with his girlfriend!!!

Hmm, I think that's about it. Oh yea, one more thing. I wish I knew what/who he was writing about. I just don't know. And I was a little too harsh the other night when I talked about not caring about a person.

IBC cream sodas are soo good.
